New Features Make the Wii Console a Must-Have

The Wii console is everywhere now, many people have purchased the Nintendo Wii for their families or to play with their friends.  The Wii Fit helped bring the console to many more users than if it were only a gaming console.  So what's next for the Nintendo Wii game system?

Nintendo has just released some new features, accessories and game titles.  For example, the biggest release in May 2009 has been the Wii Motion Plus. This is an accessory that is added onto the motion-sensitive controller, but increases the sensitivity of motion that can be achieved with the controller.  By fine tuning the motion, players can excel at new sports and challenges.  A new version of Wii Sports is being released as well, that uses the new MotionPlus accessory, called Wii Sports Resort.

There is also a new sports bundle available using the new Sports Resort game and including the MotionPlus.  Many of the new games are bundled with a console, since new users may not have purchased the console yet, but are motivated to do so with the new game releases.

Another feature that Nintendo has in development is called the "vitality sensor", a small fingertip sensor that clips on and uses a light sensor to read bio rhythms.  This neat little item has the potential to measure brain waves, and give users a biofeedback experience.  (Can you imagine a "meditation" game that teaches users to meditate?)  This can help with teaching users how to focus, improve attention and other benefits.  This is a feature which may be released in 2010.

Nintendo keeps working to bring more non-gamers into the fold, by creating games and features that appeal to non-gamers.  The Wii Fit is a classic example of that, allowing anyone who wants to start and maintain a fitness routine to use the balance board to exercise, track fitness, and set up workout routines.

More sports games are being released as well, and finding Wii Sports bundles includes the games and accessories needed to work with the Wii console right out of the box. Virtua Tennis from Sega and Grand Slam Tennis from EA Sports are both new, and Grand Slam Tennis uses the new MotionPlus.

Also just look at the new release, EA Sports Active, which gives users a sensor pad to help track body movements while running in place or doing other exercises.  These are the kinds of new games and accessories that are going to keep the Wii console in the top of all game systems.

Cheap Nintendo Wii Accessories

One can maximize the use of Nintendo Wii with a few more must-have accessories. These Nintendo Wii accessories add to the fun and experience of Wii gaming. They can even be perfect gifts for someone who already owns Nintendo Wii.

There are many sites listing the must have Nintendo Wii accessories. There are many online forums as well, that discuss them in detail. You will find many sharing their incredible experience while some may point out the faults. Do read them for knowledge as they also give you an idea as to what should be expected. Most of these sites have their own set of top accessories for Nintendo Wii, though a few common and the popular ones are the extra controllers, rechargeable batteries, game cube controllers, game cube memory cards, Wii points, SD card and the component video adapter.

The extra controller facilitates one to play head to head Wii sports games such as tennis or boxing. The extra controllers are the Wiimote and the Nunchuck. The combined cost of both of them would be around sixty dollars. The Wii supports four, but even one extra controller is just as much fun. Rechargeable batteries are a must for the avid gamers. If Nunchuck is left attached to the consoles, the battery drains out at a lightening speed. The rechargeable battery is one of the practical and cost saving Nintendo Wii accessories. Other attractive Wii games and accessories include the Nintendo wave bird. It is priced at only thirty five dollars and you can go wireless too. Game cube controller is also a well-liked accessory that works with the "virtual console". One does not need to buy the classic controller in this case. This is also nominally priced at twenty five dollars only.

There are some more sought after cheap Nintendo Wii accessories as well. A dollar twenty five game cube memory card will help you to save your games. If your Wii's memory is almost full with the virtual games do not worry. Just buy a SD card and expand your memory. These moderately spacious cards are available for thirty dollars.

All of the above accessories for the Nintendo Wii are readily available on console's online store. One may even get them on certain online retail outlets or in a console store near you.

The future-game freaks who love the Wii by now exactly know where to invest for added fun and excitement. The young, I am sure, will use the pocket money to buy these accessories while the adults can save for the astonishing Nintendo Wii accessories.

How to Use eBay to Find a Wii Console

Sometimes, finding the best options for gaming not only includes knowing what you want to play, but finding the best areas to buy the console, such as with the eBay Wii. Buying a Wii console and the games from eBay not only allows you to enjoy more of gaming, but has proven to give millions of consumers the option of enjoying the best and latest trend in gaming.

eBay Wii is a Hot Item Indeed

In the most recent statistics, it was found that the Wii console on eBay drove sales further than almost any other area. Specifically, Black Friday took this product as a main seller, with selling 3,171 consoles in just one day. In other reports, it is seen that the Wii is one of the most searched items on eBay, with sales in a one month time period reaching 26,708 individual auctions for the sale of the device.

Overall, the use of eBay has become one of the most secure and used portals available. This includes demands that provide over 6 million ads and listings, as well as visitors at an average of 8.7 million in one quarter. Along with this are over 199,000 stores available with electronics and other types of items that allow you to get convenience packaged in with variety.

Benefits of Using eBay

With most that are looking on e-Bay for the Wii, are several advantages to going to this store, rather than the main Wii store. The first reason is based on the concept behind e-Bay. The storefronts available on eBay are all wholesale stores, meaning that it is easier to find cheaper prices and discounts available in this one area. This is combined with packages and deals that may be combined with the Wii set. For instance, you can find Wii Accessories, Wii Fit and other extras that may be combined at specific stores, all for a lower price.

Not only does eBay provide these advantages in price and quality, but also adds in shopping convenience for anyone. This includes simplicity in using the system of e-Bay for finding the right Wii products. Whether you are bidding on an item, or buying instantly, this particular portal is voted in as a simple area to buy and sell products. More than this, the convenience is not only in one store available, but in the ability to browse through several providers, so you know that the Wii console you are getting has the best price and value available with it. If you are looking for variation within this, you can also find the Nintendo 64, Nintendo DS and accessories such as Nunchuks and remotes.

If you want to make sure you have the best options for getting the game console you want, then you can begin with looking at the e-Bay Wii stores available. This provides you with the most convenient, easiest and most valued options for sales, allowing you to find everything needed with this game console. With the demand in the Wii console in this area is also continuous availability of the best prices and value for Wii through eBay.

Cheap Wii - How to Get a Bargain on Nintendo Wii?

Nintendo Wii is one of the hits in video gaming. It revolutionized the way people think about game consoles. What is different about Wii is that it offers physical exercise in addition to regular onscreen fun.

Wii Craze

The demand for Nintendo Wii exceeded all the manufacturer expectations. There were times when the price for Wii Console exceeded the Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price by many hundreds of dollars, and those who were only able to get the Wii at any price were the happiest people on earth. Let's face it -- Wii is great, but it's just a video console and you should not overpay for it.

Cheap Wii - Where to Find it?

Now it is not very difficult to get a Wii at a regular retail price. Almost every consumer good retailer like Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart has Wii in stock.

There are multiple options to buy Wii online. The first choice is usually Amazon or some other online retailer. You will not find any serious bargain there. The prices are close to retail, and sometimes higher.

One alternative is eBay. Famous with bargain hunters, unfortunately in the last years it has become more of a platform for many stores than actual user exchange.

There is another option - pay per bid auction sites. If you are skilled, you can get a good deal on a Wii. In fact these deals are better than what I have seen in years. Some auctions for Wii's have ended for under $50!

What is a pay per bid auction site?

The idea of a pay per bid auction website is very simple. It is a new way of shopping where a thrill of competing is combined with shopping for great bargains. This type of new auction is sometimes called entertainment shopping. Each user pays a small amount to bid. Each bid raises the price of the item by a couple cents and extends the time by a few seconds. When the time runs out, the winner gets to buy the item, often a fantastic discount.

You just have to remember that you have to pay to bid. However, if you bid smartly, you can end up spending only a few bucks on bids and still walk away with a fantastic deal on a Wii.

What is the best entertainment shopping site?

The biggest site that offers pay-per-bid auctions is Swoopo. They were established in the US in October of 2008. Swoopo however is literally crowded with people and it is tough to win an auction. The goal is to find a site that is new and still has few users. The newest pay per bid auction site is BidRodeo.com. If you want to try out your bidding skills, this is the place to go.

Problems With Wii - Fix Those Wii Problems

If you are reading this I have no doubt that you are the proud owner of a Nintendo Wii. The Nintendo Wii has taken a hold of the gaming world by storm due to its playability and interactivity. There is no other console that provides as much interactivity as the Wii does (utilizing the Wimote and the nun chuck). But therein lies part of the problem. Because one swings around the Wimote or nun chuck the controllers in particular are prone to problems but many other gamers experience problems with the Wii. Hopefully with this article I can cover some of the more common problems.

One of the most common Wii problems is to do with the time settings on the Wii. Although at first this does not seem like a big problem it can lead on to other problems later on. If your Wii is displaying the incorrect time then you may want to look at the internal battery. The Wii draws its power from an internal battery to keep track of time when it is sitting unused. If this battery is flat then obviously it cannot keep track of the time correctly so the first thing you will want to do is to replace the internal battery.

Another problem with the Wii is a delayed video and audio response. The culprit for this problem is the connection between the Wii and the Wii remote. The first thing you want to do is to make sure that all connections are securely attached to the console and or remote. Another thing that you will want to look at is if your Wii is connected straight to your TV or is it connected through your TiVo or Mysky? If you connect through one of these devices then this can often cause a delay in video and audio response.

Wii cursor has a life of its own? This is one of the more frustrating Wii problems and it is due to calibration problems between the nun chuck/Wimote and the main console but luckily it's probably the easiest to fix. Simply recalibrate your remote and the problem should be fixed.

If you have problems with your Wii which I haven't covered here, simply visit the site below for solutions.

The Wii Fit Sports - An Introduction

As of Apr.25.08 the WiiFit is available in Germany, too. Funny thing on the side: The console had until this date still to be available in the USA, because it was first designed for a weight of 300 pounds max. This could be a little problem for some Americans. But the Wii Fit needs to be robust, since it was made for working out with.

First I thought who needs a Wii Fit anyway. What's it going to do? But then I watched Videos from Japan and later from Germany, I thought, well hummmmm, maybe. My friend was excited about it, but also very unsure. So we did not place a preorder. But then curiosity prevailed and we secured a bundle on sale. As soon as we got home in got unwrapped and tested.

The Wii Fit was designed to have fun while moving and exercising. You improve your Body-Mass-Index, your body balance and stature and all this while having fun! There's even talk about installing Wii Fit in Fitness Centres. But I don't even like going out to gyms to work out, because of the many people there, the transmuting and the monthly fee they charge. All this favours the idea of using the Wii Fit to work out at home. You can work out any time you like and there's nobody watching you. And you still got your own personal trainer and you are still being challenged.

Packing and Content

The Balance Board is well covered and protected. The software CD is well wrapped and of cause there is a nice and detailed manual. You'll also find four batteries, which is very handy. The box is light and it's even got a plastic handle.

The Balance Board

The Balance Board is rather big and a bit heavy, which is ok, it's got to carry some weight, right? You'll know right away it belongs to the Wii. The surface is white and its got the Wii Logo on it. There are two pads where you'll have to place your feet. These pads are covered with anti-slip so you dont fall off too easy.

The board leaves a very elegant and still robust impression. It can carry folks with up to over 300 pounds. As we stepped on it, it didn't give in the slightest. We are not the heaviest, but no lightweights, either. The board installation and setup is a no-brainer. You push the Sync Buttons on the Wii and on the board (in the battery compartment). Doesn't even have to be at the same time, almost at the same time is good enough. This registers the Board as a remote control to the Wii, just like the Wiimote, because from now on you control half of the game with the balance board. Don't forget to turn on the Board, too! The power button is on the front of the Wii Fit Balance Board. It's amazing how sensitive the board is, it registers even little pushes and steps very easily.

The Body Test and the the Scale

Before you start, you'll have to go through a body test and weight. Oh my god, weight...? Yes, the Balance Board scales and even pretty exact, too. You can even tell the talking board how heavy you think your clothes are, and choose from a menu. Got to stay honest, thought.

After feeding the machine with all the useful data, (the Wii can't guess how tall you are...) it figures out your BMI ( Body Mass Index). The Wii needs your height and weight for this. This shows if you got an ideal weight or not. But this is what the Wii Fit is for, right?

The Wii even asks you how much weight you want to loose and within what given time span. It automatically figures out if this is feasible or not. After the Body test you'll have to mark the actual date with a foot stamp. Later on, when you've been exercising a few days you'll need to stamp another date again. You'll get instant results right from the menu, showing you in real time if your exercise has been successful or not, because you'll see your loss of weight.

The software

Naturally not only the Balance Board belongs to the Wii Fit, but also a game. This is used just like any other game that comes with the Wii. You insert the disc, click on the disc channel and Start.

Before you start, though, you have to create your own profile. This is simple, just like with any other game and self-explaining. You choose a Mii that you like and insert your age and your height. Then your weight is taken. Now you'll have to take the body test. After the test the Wii figures out your age, which might be a bit embarrassing. I know of a 23 yrs old friend of mine, the Wii guessed her age at 34...

If you resume a game after logging off, you are taken to the start page. Here you see buttons and the setup menu, if a new user wants to register. Other buttons show the time you've exercised all together and setups like height and password. Click on your own Mii and "Training" and you'll get to the game or the part of the game you've been leaving.
The Wii Fit Game really is a collection of about 40 exercises and mini games. Some of these are only available after you went through a series of serious workouts, successful trainings and exercises. So, you got to go through rather simple games to be eligible to play the harder and longer ones. The games come in four categories: Yoga, muscle strength, aerobics and balance.

Nintendo Wii System With Wii Sports - One of the Most-Requested Gifts For All Ages

Has someone on your list requested the Nintendo Wii System this holiday season? Chances are, they have. Since its initial unveiling, the Wii System has become one of the most sought-after products in the video game industry. It also sells out in a matter of minutes, and is near impossible to find. Sure, other video game systems are being requested, but the difference is by whom!

The typical video gamer is no longer the 8 year old boy clicking buttons on the controller. Nor is it the slightly overweight, 20-something-year-old man who really should be doing something other than trying to beat the top score on the latest role-playing game. Nowadays, it is grandma who is terminally connected to the video game console, beating scores and becoming a pro player in Nintendo's Wii Sports.

At a recent family gathering, we tried to show my grandmother and her friend how to play Wii Sports on the Nintendo Wii System. We mostly did it as a joke, but we knew that the baseball game would interest my grandmother, since she was a huge Yankees fan. Before we knew it, there were two old ladies, one 67 and one 82 years old, swinging the Wii remote and striking each other out (well, I hate to brag, but my 82 year old grandmother did actually hit a few home runs, and ended up winning the game). This is unheard of with other video game consoles.

What is unique about the Nintendo Wii is its controller. Traditional video games like the Sony Playstation and the Microsoft Xbox have controllers that require the user to memorize sets of buttons. These buttons are often located in different spots on the controller, and require the gamer to hit confusing combinations that are not so easy for an older person to learn - especially when that person has not been playing video games all their lives. In contrast, the Nintendo Wii controller uses movement. If you want to pitch the ball in the baseball game, for example, then you hold up the remote, and move your hands in a throwing motion. Want to hit a strike? Hold the remote like a baseball and swing! The same goes for other games such as golf, bowling and tennis. It is truly a life-like experience that is exciting and easy to learn.

One of these days, perhaps the other video game system makers will follow Nintendo's lead and create a gaming system that allows family members of all ages to join in the fun. For now, only the Nintendo Wii System with Wii Sports is available, and supplies are fading fast! If you'd like to get the Nintendo Wii with Wii Sports for someone special on your Christmas list, get it soon because this system does not stay on the shelves!

We scoured every corner of the internet to find everything you ever wanted to know about Nintendo Wii. Here is the absolute best source we uncovered, Nintendo Wii System with Wii Sports

Mario Kart Wii With Wheel Review

Some of the great things that immediately jump out at you with the new release of the Mario Kart Wii are that there are a huge number of courses that are both imaginative and challenging making this game a definite buy for all.

It is a deeply integrated with online players, and it's easy to get right into for players who are at a beginner on up to advanced level. Mario Kart Wii is a fun, strategic system that has added two wheel vehicles to the mix.

You might be surprised with some of the additions to this already wildly popular game. These include motorcycles and dirt bikes. Despite those who long for the pure weapons-based go-kart racing of before, you will be pleasantly surprised with the inclusion of two wheeled vehicles.

In addition, there is now a midair stunt system as well as motion controls. In spite of these additions, the part that made Mario Kart Wii and all other Mario racing games so popular remains and it's just an improvement on an already killer system.

There are extensive multi-player options and an integrated online functionality as well as a plethora of controller schemes and simple game play that gives this latest release of Mario Kart a great deal of fun and excitement for gamers everywhere.

Mario Kart's big event is the Grand Prix mode which pits player against 11 other computerized competitors running a race that covers four-courses to get to the finish. With Grand Prix, you select three different engine sizes and difficulty settings.

Initially, there are four cups available along with four others that can be unlocked by winning against their predecessors. What this does is creates a total of 32 diverse courses, and of those, half are brand-new for the Wii.

The rest are remastered versions of classic stages that were included in previous games. What this does is provides a mix of new and old offering both nostalgia and novelty into the game.

The new midair stunt system activates by flicking the remote on the Wii. This allows you to leave from a ramp-assisted jump and allows your racer to execute a trick that's extreme like a 360-degree spin, which when the racer lands, you are rewarded with a considerable speed boost.

In order to execute this trick, many of the new tracks come with huge half-pipes, a multitude of moguls, ramps and pits that have been placed precisely in spots to encourage extreme stunt work. This could be considered a flaw, but it does inject a ton of fun and a totally new strategy into the game.

Mario Kart Wii comes standard with a number of items that most gamers would expect

Starmen, mushrooms, fake item boxes, shells and the like.

There are new items like the thunder cloud, an item that will shrink you automatically after a few seconds unless you ram someone and pass it off to them.

There is also the POW, a block that will temporarily stun everyone in front of you and cause them to drop their items.
The mega mushroom will make you increase your size for a period of time and flatten racers beneath your super-sized tires.

Mario Kart Wii has support for just about every controller configuration there is on the market today. The game comes with a steering wheel controller shell that gives you complete advantage of the motion-sensing capabilities and it's considered that the purely tilt-driven control is the best. The Super Mario Brothers game hit the market back in 1992.

In the last 16 years, it has seen its share of changes. With Mario Kart Wii is a brand-new stunt system, there are some speed bumps on the road; however, on the whole, it is still one of the best, most fun experiences out there today in the gaming world.

A Wii is not complete unless you Buy Mario Kart Wii with wheel and add it to your collection of Wii games.

Tanya Butler, a.k.a. the Wii Lover, loves to write about the Wii and Wii games. Wii owners should Buy Mario Kart Wii with wheel because it fuses the nostalgia of old Mario Kart games with the new upgraded online racing edition. Mario Kart Wii is the best Mario game and one of the best Wii games ever.

Wii Troubleshooting - Troubleshoot Your Wii

I'm sure you know the feeling; you go to the video store, hire the latest Nintendo Wii games and rush home so you can spend the next 5 hours playing the hottest game on the market. Only you put the game into your Wii and nothing happens, or you put it in and all of a sudden an error pops up telling you to contact Nintendo.

You have got to be joking, right! Unfortunately not. This has happened to many a Wii owner in fact this has happened to many a gaming console owner. This problem is in no way limited to the Nintendo Wii. In this article I hope to show you a few tips for Wii troubleshooting.

One of the most frustrating situations is when an error code comes up. I mean what does a number mean to you and me? I wish when there was an error that it said "your AV lead isn't plugged in properly", wouldn't something like that make more sense?

Here are a couple of the most common error codes that you are likely to encounter. Code 32002, this means that you have problems with the internet setting on your Wii. Usually this will mean a problem with either the wireless router, Wii Wi-Fi USB connector or the WII Lan adapter.

Error code 32003 is another common Wii troubleshooting problem. This means that there is not enough space in the Wii's internal memory for it to install the most recent update.

Error 32004 means that the Nintendo servers are experiencing a high level of traffic and that you may have to wait a few hours. This usually happens when there has been a recent firmware update to the Wii system and everybody is trying to update their console.

The above are some of the more common Wii troubleshooting problems and hopefully I've mentioned the error that you have come across so that you can quickly get back to enjoying your gaming.

With Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip & the Wii Fit Balance Board You Have a Dynamite Game

Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip and the Wii Fit balance board make an incredible combination, and truly makes this game fun and exciting. The use of the Wii Fit balance adds another dimension to this game as you shift your weight back and forth and from left to right on the board, you can almost imagine yourself going down a groomed trail on a snowboard. It always amazes me that gamers can sit on their couches and twiddle their thumbs on their controllers as they play the games on the XBox and PS2 and PS3. . This game did not get the most favorable reviews on these systems. Gamespot gave it a 5.0 on the PS3. They gave Shaun White Snowboard Road Trip a 5.0 on the XBox. Gamespot gave the Wii version a 7.5.

The Nintendo Wii has come along way in the two years since it's release in 2006. I remember sitting with family members and friends complaining about the lack of games that were available for the Wii when it first came out. There are many new and exciting games being released on a regular basis by third party developers, that is absolutely mind boggling. Some are trash. There are average games. Then there are games that rise above the cream, and Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip is one of those games.

Nintendo released one of the most successful games in May of 2008 - Wii Fit, (there are still shortages of this game). This game utilized one of the most sensitive, intuitive game controllers - the Wii Fit Balance Board available for the Nintendo Wii. The first game, other than Wii Fit, that used the Balance Board was Wii Ski. a fun game to play on the balance board. It is truly enjoyable but it is a little limited, as you can only shift your weight from left to right.

At this point in time Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip is the only game, other than Wii Fit, that has fully utilized the Wii Fit balance board. There are four sensitive quadrants that are used to shift your weight on the balance board as you snowboard. Giving you a feeling that you are going down the scenic trails shifting you weight from left or right or forward or even backwards.

You can shift your weight on the balance board and use the remote to do snowboarding tricks. This game is one of the most interactive games that any company has put out for the Nintendo Wii. While you are playing this game you will not notice the parts of your body being worked, but in the morning you will notice tightness in your thighs and abdominal muscles.

At the beginning of the game you will pick your snowboarder and your camera-person and start on your snowboarding expedition in beautiful mountain resorts in Canada. You can work your way through Alaska, Europe and Japan.

The graphics for this game are not that bad, but the Wii does not compare to the Xbox or PS3 for graphics. The Nintendo Wii excels in player interaction, therefore the Wii gamer is more forgiving when it comes to lower quality graphics.

So, rise above the usual couch potato gamer mentality, and get involved in your snowboarding with Nintendo Wii Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip. Apparently, Shaun White is working with UBI Soft to put out Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip 2. I can not wait!

5 Games For the Nintendo Wii That Could Make Or Break it in 2009

For the last 3 years, the Nintendo Wii has dominated the sales charts for video game systems. In fact, the Wii has owned all the other game console bundles on the market. It has sold more units than the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 combined, and sellouts during Christmas and other peak seasons are common.

But will the Wii be able to hold this domination?

There are already complaints from some people about the Wii's limitations. The motion sensing technology in the Wii was something new to the market, but its novelty is starting to wear thin and people are starting to notice that the other systems have much better graphics and more processing power.

Both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 have started to narrow the gap in recent months. Does the Wii have enough reserves in its tank to ward off the pursuing competition? There are 5 upcoming games for the Wii that will give us some indication:

1. Punchout. This is one of the most loved games in the history of Nintendo, and it's making a comeback. This will be one title that shows how loyal Nintendo fans actually are.

2. Wii Sports Resort. The original Wii Sports is included when you buy a Wii console. This sequel will be included with the new Wiimote, that's powered by MotionPlus technology. This new Wiimote is supposed to improve the accuracy of the motion sensing over the original Wiimote. MotionPlus is an add-on that can be attached to the original controllers. The lineup of jet skiing, dog frisbee, and kendo stick fighting in Wii Sports Report will put this new technology to the test.

3. Red Steel 2. The original Red Steel was a disappointment for many people, even though it was a launch title for the Wii. Poor responsiveness for the controls made people doubt the accuracy of the Wiimote. This sequel will also take advantage of MotionPlus, and Ubisoft is hoping that the second try will be a winner.

4. Sin & Punishment 2. Treasure, the company responsible for some of the best platformer/shooter hybrids in the history of video games is developing this sequel to the original game, which was only available in Japan. The action in this game is amazing, and it has all the signs of being a huge hit.

5. Rock Band: Beatles. This is probably the biggest upcoming title for casual gamers - people who don't play a lot of video games - and it is coming to the Nintendo Wii along with the Xbox 360 and PS3. The sales charts will tell us how the Wii is holding up against the competition for this one.

Wii Repairs - How to Fix Wii Errors

The Nintendo Wii is easily one of the most fun and enjoyable consoles ever made. There's not really that much out there that can beat the enjoyment of playing a round of tennis on Wii Sport, or playing your favorite action game where you get to control the movements. However, the Nintendo Wii does occasionally suffer from some problems; in this article you are going to learn more about Wii repairs and how to fix Wii errors such as problems with the sensor bar, power supply and game disc.

The first step for Wii repairs is to determine exactly what error has affected your console. Here is a list of the most common errors, as well as as how you can attempt to fix them on your Nintendo Wii-

o Game discs do not work - This is a broad issue and can cover a wide range of errors such as your discs not being read, crashing and freezing during gaming, graphical glitching and disc rejection. You can attempt to fix this Wii error by cleaning your game disc with a clean microfiber cloth that has been soaked in a mix of lukewarm water and detergent. Gently clean any finger marks off and leave the disc to dry.

o Wii remote does not work - Generally there are two main causes of this problem. Firstly, you may have flat batteries in the remote; try replacing them firstly to fix this Wii error. Secondly, the sensor bar may not be connected correctly or there may be something blocking the signal between the sensor bar and the remote. Disconnect and then re-connect the sensor bar, and also ensure that there are no objects in the way such as chairs, tables etc.

o Console does not power up - This can be one of the most difficult aspects of Wii repair as dealing with power problems on electronic devices is never easy. Firstly, only ever use a Nintendo approved power adapter. Secondly, try removing the power adapter then plugging it back in again. If this does not work, your console will require a more detailed and comprehensive repair.

Click the link to learn about a Nintendo Wii repairs guide that will show you step-by-step how fix your Wii, regardless of what error has affected your console. It is extremely easy-to-use, and has helped thousands of gamers to fix Wii errors on their consoles, quickly, easily and cheaply. Regardless of what is wrong with your Wii, you can use this guide to repair the problem.

Samuel "Jon" Johnson is an avid gamer who also enjoys writing. Therefore, when his Wii stopped working, he decided that helping others to fix their consoles would be a great thing to do.

Best Buy Wii Consoles

Wii is one of those things that have become a cultural phenomenon.

So much so, that obtaining Wii was, and even now still can be, difficult as demand seems to constantly exceed supply. In spite huge production hikes, Wii is still flying off the racks. Finding any Wii used to be problematic, let alone finding a best buy Wii.

Now the production of Wii seems to be keeping pace its demand as is available at many outlets and discounted units can be found in many outlets as stores slug it out for market share in the ever expanding Wii market place. One of the most popular stores to find Wii is, appropriately, at Best Buy.

Best Buy is a retailer that always has popular merchandise for the best price, and the consumer need not be concerned at having to deal over the Internet with the inherent difficulties of processing returns etc. Any problems can be addressed face to face and refunds and returns are processed straight away- if the need arises.

Naturally you can still get Wii from Best Buy via the Internet. This way, you have the ease of purchasing and also the reassurance of going to any best Buy store should you have to.

Buying a Wii console was more troublesome right after its launch as demand seriously outstripped supply. Wii was constantly in short supply- even through 2007 Nintendo made a huge 1.8 million units of Wii every month, production had to be increased in 2008 and the manufacturer increased Wii production to a staggering 2.4 million units a month.

Wii is a game console licensed Nintendo and is the successor of the Nintendo's Game Cube. Wii has outranked both its competitors in each market as consumers have embraced the more appealing graphics, usability and excitement of the Wii game console.

Its two main competitors are Sony's Play Station and Xbox 360 by Microsoft. Wii has been number one in the market from its release in late 2006.

Although the name 'Wii' was at first controversial, it has turned out to be one of the most popular and recognized trade names since its launch. During development and pre launch, Wii was known as 'Revolution' and a lot of of its top people wanted to keep this title. However it did not take long until the universal appeal of the all inclusive sounding name 'Wii' was recognized as the marketing power that it is.

Wii was built around Nintendo's DS platform and influenced by Blue Ocean, a strategy book for business which has a six path framework for success: fun, graphics, physics, movie playing, and price. Nintendo introduced a seventh factor- a magic wand that is constituted in the remote controller.

Wii Games That I Like

Ever heard of the Nintendo Wii? The Nintendo Wii is a state of the art video game system which uses motion sensing technology. Because of this unique feature, most of the games that are played on the Nintendo Wii system are also unique in nature. In this article, I will be highlighting some of the Wii games that I simply love.

One of the more popular games for the Nintendo Wii is the Wii fit game. This game is about keeping your body fit though the use of guided exercises. Before you start, you would have to use the balancing board included in the game to allow the program to take and keep track of your weight. The Wii balancing board can also be used for other activities within the game. For example, there is this concentration game where you are supposed to sit down cross legged on the board and concentrate on a flickering candle for a certain amount of time. The balancing board can also be used to play a tightrope game where you have to get from one rooftop to another, overhanging the streets below! Then there is also another game where you use the board to get a ball though holes within many platforms.

Another Wii game which I like is Wii sports. Wii sports has been such a success that it has released a sequel known as Wii sports resorts. While Wii fit is about keeping your body fit and playing around with the Wii balancing board, Wii sports is about playing all kinds of sports using the Wii motion controller. For example, your Wii remote transforms into a boat padded as you play in a boating race. Play against other players or try to beat your best timings in cooperative modes. Then there are also other sports to play such as archery or even table tennis! All this can be done simply by using your Wii remote otherwise known as the Wii-mote in creative ways!

I am sure there are plenty of fun Wii games out there and there will be at least a few which you will appreciate and love to play. Check out the plenty of cheap games for the Nintendo Wii that are available online. If you are lucky you will even be able to find some cheap Wii games sale and end up with plenty of new and fun Wii games to play with at home.

Hope you love your Wii and this is Lincoln Tennyson, writer and reviewer of Wii games. For more cheap Wii games, after you have read my article I hope you know where you can find them! that are available online. There are actually plenty of places where you can get cheap Wii games sale and you would be most happy when it is nearing Christmas!

Need Help Setting Up Your Nintendo Wii?

Dear fellow Wii gamer, don't we all at one stage or another reach a point with our Wii that we want to tear our hair out of frustration. When we just cannot seem to solve a specific problem with our Wii, like getting the Wi-Fi to work or when you want to challenge your friends online but you cannot seem to get online?

I am sure that this and many other problems that I have not even mentioned are still fresh in your memory. What was the first thing that 90% of us then did, we hit the net in surge of answers to these problems. Not a bad idea, as there is many Wii forums that will try to help us. The only problem is that we want a solution NOW and not after two hours of searching forum after forum and then sometimes still come out empty handed!

So while scanning the net in my search for a quicker solution I came across The Ultimate Wii Guide which is an all in one step by step Wii guide. What really got me interested in this product is that it covered a big variety of Wii setup and Wii problem solving topics. It's also written in such a way that even grannies can understand and are able to follow the clearly laid out steps. As well as the fact that the author has gone to great lengths to cover as much as possible on each topic that he is addressing.

The author of this Guide realized, after having to help many of his Wii friends, that there was a huge demand for a Wii troubleshooting and setup Guide. The big difference being that he did not just browse the net for a few quick help guides to make up his Guide. Not at all, what you will find in his Guide is information written by him for fellow Wii gamers to help them solve their Wii problems. He is so passionate about the quality of his product that he is even throwing in Three Months Support for FREE.

All and all I think this is a must have for all Nintendo Wii gamers that have difficulty setting up or Troubleshooting there Wii. To find out more about this Wii Guide please feel free to visit my Wii review site by clicking on the link below.

Wii Fit Package 2

The Wii fit is video game that is developed for the Wii console by Nintendo which was released in Japan of 1st of December 2007 and during mid 2008 in other regions. This new video game is basically an exercise game that consists of activities that utilize Wii balance board peripheral. The balance board measures the weight of the user and the center of the balance. It also includes a software which then calculates the body mass index of the user after knowing the height. The Wii fit training has roughly about 40 different activities which include push ups, yoga poses, balance, strength and aerobic exercises. Additionally the Wii fit game also lets the player to compare their fitness using their Nintendo's own channel over the Wii menu. This game tracks the Wii fitness age of the user through a body test based on the results on the user's balance, weight and current age. Unlike the other Wii series this Wii fit incorporates Wiis into its gameplay and presentations.

The Wii Fit Gameplay

The Wii fit package uses a unique platform peripheral known as the Wii balance board, which is a software that calculated the body mass index based on the user's height. However initially there were not plan to include the WiiConnect24 functionality in the Wii fit package. Although this was noted but there could be possibilities of taking advantage of WiiConnect24 later on like using this service to keep in touch with a doctor to help in rehabilitation or with some fitness specialists to help in the training exercises. The training is divided into four different categories in Wii Fit which are balance games, strength training, yoga and aerobics. All these activities offer a core workout, highlighting controlled movements and not overexertion. There are also some new activities which can be unlocked after gaining fit credits. This is stored in the FitBank which is a small piggy bank which keeps a track of the time spend on Wii Fit. At a specific stage some new muscle workouts and yoga poses are unlocked according to the total time that is spend on workouts. However if the user is best at a specific activity having 100 percent score then it can also unlock some rigorous levels of the activity.

Regarding the popularity of Wii Fit, Nintendo has already sold above 2 million Wii consoles since it has been launched. The game is basically a software and hardware package, which lets the user solve puzzles and play games while watching TV. The interesting thing is that you don't have to play guessing over the console and pressing buttons but you rather play by actively doing what you feel should be done if playing the game for real. This is what has made the Wii Fit package gain so much popularity providing virtual gaming sessions which actually keeps you fit. This Wii fit package includes all the hardware and software including the user manual needed to operate the game and it can be purchased from any of your local gaming stores.

Where's the Best Place to Find a Wii?

What is one of the top sellers this Christmas season? You guessed it - once again, the Nintendo Wii Gaming System is going to be one of them. As in the past few years, you must shop early if you want to get the best price on Wii. Because the Wii has been out for a couple of years now, and because of the new and innovative games like the brand new "Wii Music" and "Guitar Hero 3 Complete Band" Nintendo keeps coming out with, it remains more popular than ever.

So where can I find the Nintendo Wii at the best price?

In order to find the best price on Wii systems, a good start is at the auction sites. Not only can you can get the best prices and bid for the price you want to pay, you can get fast delivery for before Christmas. Of course, the most well known auction site to find the best price on Wii is Ebay. Ebay is the place where you can find almost anything - new systems, bundles, stripped down systems, and even used Wii consoles. The number of sellers on Ebay is mind boggling, and there you're most likely to find the Nintendo Wii best price on an auction site like Ebay.

Plus, Ebay is especially nice if you don't mind trying a used system. Because of the strict regulations for selling, if you do buy a used one you'll be sure to know what you're getting. Sometimes the used systems are just like new, hardly played at all!

Another great reason to shop Ebay for your Wii - not being able to find it anywhere else! Previously, the Wii has sold out pretty much everywhere and your only chance to find it is on Ebay. Even if you end up paying a little more than retail, you are going to have a Wii. And really, you're still going to pay the best price, since you've got so many options.

Paying top dollar probably, you can also go to local retail stores. An upside to shopping locally is you don't have to pay for shipping, and you can walk out with the Wii under your arm. However, these places are not recommended if you're looking for the best price on Wii.

Amazon Marketplace is another great place to try. At Amazon, you have the benefits of ease of use, reliable shipping, and easy returns if something is wrong. Amazon also has the choice between new and used systems. And don't forget to buy your games there, as well. The selection of additional merchandise you can get for your Wii is unbelievable at Amazon.

These are a few good sources for getting your Nintendo Wii and the best price possible. But get shopping now! The closer it gets to Christmas, the more you're going to pay and the harder the Wii will be to find!

Key Accessories Can Increase The Nintendo Wii Price

The Nintendo Wii is the hottest gaming system on the market. Even now many retailers are sold out and awaiting new shipments of this revolutionary game system with its remote sensing control system. The Nintendo Wii is a hot commodity, and like any commodity the laws of supply and demand are in play, and high demand can often equate to high prices. If you are one of the millions of people considering a purchase of the Wii System then you are probably among those for whom the Nintendo Wii price is a consideration.

Fortunately, the Nintendo Wii price is at a point that is affordable for most people, and for approximately $249.99 USD you can jump right in - almost literally - and begin playing the game that everyone is talking about. However, the $250 dollar price point only gets you the basic Wii package, which includes one game - Wii Sports - one controller, the sensor bar, and the assorted power cords needed to plug in and play. While this assortment is more than capable of getting you up and running, the $250 Nintendo Wii price does not include many items you are sure to want as soon as you tire of playing Wii Sports against the computer.

One way to avoid endless shopping for additional games and accessories is to purchase a Nintendo Wii bundle from a retailer who offers such deals. Various retailers offer bundles - all inclusive package deals - that include the Wii system as well as additional memory, additional controller, and several additional game titles. While such packages can greatly increase the Nintendo Wii price - by $200 to $400 dollars depending on the number of games and their titles - it can give you all you need, and more, to get started gaming.

The Nintendo Wii price, without accessories, is roughly $250. But it is the accessories that make the Wii such a powerful and dynamic system, and the Nintendo Wii price does not include those additional items. While new game titles will cost roughly $50 each, it is not the new games that will take your Wii to new heights; it is the add-ons. A second controller and Nunchuk - secondary controller that plugs into the primary, wireless controller; the Wiimote - will cost approximately $60. For those who wish to offset the Nintendo Wii price by continuing to play games from their Nintendo GameCube, they may need to purchase a GameCube controller if they do not already have one ($25). Further, if you want to save your ongoing GameCube games - like you could do on the original GameCube - then a memory card is needed ($25). For roughly the same prices as the memory card, an SD card - 1 GB of additional memory - can be purchased allowing you to download classic games through an Internet connection.

Like other accessories, Internet connectivity is not included in the Nintendo Wii price, and a wireless Wi-Fi USB connector is required ($100 and up). And if you want to see the fruit of your investments in the quality of High Definition, then a component video adapter is needed to deliver that crystal clear picture ($20).

After reading a list such as this one it is easy to wonder what you really get for that $250 Nintendo Wii price. The truth is that you get a lot, but if you want more - and you want to maximize the capabilities of the system - then investing in accessories that cost above and beyond the Nintendo Wii price will deliver exactly that. Fortunately, you don't have to buy them all at once.

DS Vs Wii - Which Nintendo to Choose?

Most companies would be happy to have one hit product, Nintendo currently has two the DS and the Wii. The Nintendo Dual Screen is a hugely popular portable gaming device while the Nintendo Wii is arguably the best console on the market at the moment - certainly the sales volume shows its popularity.

But if you had to choose one either the DS or the Wii which one?

My recommendation is the Wii. I've owned both and the Wii is much more fun for just a $100 more. You will pay slightly more for the games as well, but the depth and playability of those games is more than worth the extra money. The interaction Wii remote ensure you don't just sit there and veg out like you do with DS.

The Dual Screen is innovative in its own right combining a hard (bottom) and soft (top) screen. The soft top screen is interactive responding to the DS pen touch, meaning DS games have another level of game compared to other compact consoles. However after going through two DS and having both of the touch screens die - this is also one of the DS greatest weakness, particularly with children. The DS is simply not tough enough to handle children, no matter how many screen protectors, cases, covers, etc you use. The DS one advantage over the Wii is that it is portable and you can take it anywhere. Its size being even small than the average ladies purse. It fits comfortably in the pocket. That however it where is advantage ends.

The Nintendo Wii screen is as big as your T.V. and now with Plasmas and LCD's all the go, most people in the West have a large T.V., particularly thanks to these products crashing in price. This is gives the Wii a great display to make the most of the gaming experience. Thanks to its small size the Wii console fits into any living or media room, in fact its so small you barely notice it at all. The Wii remotes and nunchucks are tougher than the DS, especially thanks to the soft plastic covers that come with the remotes. This means when sweat and grime build up - and it does - instead of cleaning the whole remote you remove the cover and wash it and let it dry. The batteries in the Wii remote are double AA's and it pays to use rechargeable ones and have a charger nearby or buy the numerous accessories with charging docks so it can charge up while you sleep.

The other thing about the Wii is its more social. You can have up to four players (though of course this means more cost in buying more remotes). Some would argue the DS has this multiplayer ability as well thanks to its wireless connections - but that means more DS machines and usually each player has had to have brought the games as well entailing more expense. The Wii can have 4 players all off the same game and console though with the more interactive games this can mean it gets crowded in the living room.

If you have you choose between the DS and the Wii - my advice go the Wii, unless you plan to travel a lot.
