Mario Kart Wii With Wheel Review

Some of the great things that immediately jump out at you with the new release of the Mario Kart Wii are that there are a huge number of courses that are both imaginative and challenging making this game a definite buy for all.

It is a deeply integrated with online players, and it's easy to get right into for players who are at a beginner on up to advanced level. Mario Kart Wii is a fun, strategic system that has added two wheel vehicles to the mix.

You might be surprised with some of the additions to this already wildly popular game. These include motorcycles and dirt bikes. Despite those who long for the pure weapons-based go-kart racing of before, you will be pleasantly surprised with the inclusion of two wheeled vehicles.

In addition, there is now a midair stunt system as well as motion controls. In spite of these additions, the part that made Mario Kart Wii and all other Mario racing games so popular remains and it's just an improvement on an already killer system.

There are extensive multi-player options and an integrated online functionality as well as a plethora of controller schemes and simple game play that gives this latest release of Mario Kart a great deal of fun and excitement for gamers everywhere.

Mario Kart's big event is the Grand Prix mode which pits player against 11 other computerized competitors running a race that covers four-courses to get to the finish. With Grand Prix, you select three different engine sizes and difficulty settings.

Initially, there are four cups available along with four others that can be unlocked by winning against their predecessors. What this does is creates a total of 32 diverse courses, and of those, half are brand-new for the Wii.

The rest are remastered versions of classic stages that were included in previous games. What this does is provides a mix of new and old offering both nostalgia and novelty into the game.

The new midair stunt system activates by flicking the remote on the Wii. This allows you to leave from a ramp-assisted jump and allows your racer to execute a trick that's extreme like a 360-degree spin, which when the racer lands, you are rewarded with a considerable speed boost.

In order to execute this trick, many of the new tracks come with huge half-pipes, a multitude of moguls, ramps and pits that have been placed precisely in spots to encourage extreme stunt work. This could be considered a flaw, but it does inject a ton of fun and a totally new strategy into the game.

Mario Kart Wii comes standard with a number of items that most gamers would expect

Starmen, mushrooms, fake item boxes, shells and the like.

There are new items like the thunder cloud, an item that will shrink you automatically after a few seconds unless you ram someone and pass it off to them.

There is also the POW, a block that will temporarily stun everyone in front of you and cause them to drop their items.
The mega mushroom will make you increase your size for a period of time and flatten racers beneath your super-sized tires.

Mario Kart Wii has support for just about every controller configuration there is on the market today. The game comes with a steering wheel controller shell that gives you complete advantage of the motion-sensing capabilities and it's considered that the purely tilt-driven control is the best. The Super Mario Brothers game hit the market back in 1992.

In the last 16 years, it has seen its share of changes. With Mario Kart Wii is a brand-new stunt system, there are some speed bumps on the road; however, on the whole, it is still one of the best, most fun experiences out there today in the gaming world.

A Wii is not complete unless you Buy Mario Kart Wii with wheel and add it to your collection of Wii games.

Tanya Butler, a.k.a. the Wii Lover, loves to write about the Wii and Wii games. Wii owners should Buy Mario Kart Wii with wheel because it fuses the nostalgia of old Mario Kart games with the new upgraded online racing edition. Mario Kart Wii is the best Mario game and one of the best Wii games ever.

Review the Top 5 Wii Fitness Games - Which One Really Burns the Fat!

.

With the advent of the Nintendo Wii Fitness line of games, many couch potato gamers are finally becoming active without even realizing it.

But can someone who is seriously looking for a power packed, high cardio, and aerobics type workout really benefit from the Wii fit?

Well to be honest the first set of games the Nintendo Wii Fitness came out with will only give the serious workout freak a worm up routine, and that's about it. For beginners its fine, for those who are just starting a exercise regiment its great, but for the advance fitness buff, it will be disappointing.

So the Nintendo Wii Fitness developer came up with the perfect solution and the answer to the advance fitness user. In recent months Wii Fit has evolved into a set of games offering the user a more intense cardio and strength training workout. Here is a brief over view of the top 5, starting with the least intense workout.

5) Wii Fit Bundle

The Wii Fit bundle package was the first set of games released in 2008, and as the name suggest was a group of games bundled together with the purchase of the Wii fitness gaming console. Depending on which bundle package you wanted, the system came with the controller, balance board and several games. The games ranged form Yoga, Pilates, Tennis, boxing, Balance games, skiing or ice boarding and other low impact, more gaming than workout activities.

These games are great for fun but would not do for a real calorie burn workout. SO I would give this 1 out of 5 for workout and 4 out of 5 for fun. A Total of 5 out of 10

4) Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009

Most people by now should know who Jillian Michaels is, you may not know her name but if you ever watched the Biggest Loser reality TV series, she is the drill sergeant /personal trainer/motivational coach and the star of the show (personal opinion).

Based on the intensity of the character on the Biggest Loser, this game was disappointing and somewhat boring, the only reason I but it higher than the Wii fit is because the workout is more intense and you could really burn some calories with this game.

This game utilizes the balance board, the controller and Nunchuck for a good workout it has 4 Workout types, strength training, cardio, weight loss, stretches. The game allows you to track your progress and save your stats.

I did notice that the controller response time was annoyingly delayed and some of the instructions were not very clear so it was difficult at times getting my on screen character to move or replicate my movements. I think there are a few bugs in the software coding for this game that were not worked out before release.

Some of the games did kinda look like the Wii Fit games repackaged, also the only motivation the game gave you would be Jillian saying "Give It All You Got" which after a while became more annoying that motivating.

I did like the back ground workout music which was motivating and you could select from a wide variety of music styles. The squat exercise workout was great and will make you sweat.

This game will defiantly burn some calories, but I think you will become bored with this game sooner than later.

I give the Wii Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009 game 3 out of 5 for workout and 2 out of 5 for fun. A total of 5 out of 10

3) Gold's Gym Cardio Workout

Ok, this is the first of the Wii Fitness games to focus more on Cardio workout that mimics the workout you will get in a gym, hence the name.

With this game you will get a real workout. The game utilizes the Wii's motion controls, the Balance board.

The highlight of this game is the TaeBo like boxing workout routine. This game seems to get the principle of running in place more accurately than the previous game. The sit-ups and jumping rope will give you a great workout. The Cardi Gold's Gym Workout game keeps great record of your calorie burn and fitness progress, and will automatically increase the difficulty and intensity of your workout to suit.

So overall this is more responsive and offer non stop action for a great workout, the points system is great for motivation so I will give the Wii Gold's Gym Cardio Workout game 3 ½ out of 5 for workout and 3 out of 5 for fun. A total of 6 1/2 out of 10.

2) My Fitness Coach

One of my favorite game, with over 500 different workout activities to choose from you will not soon get bored. This game is loads of fun and packs one heck of a workout!

The game will initially ask a series of detailed question to make sure you get off to the appropriate start, based on your fitness level.

Your Personal Virtual fitness coach will walk you through your workout, give pointers on improvements you need to make and motivate you every step of the way. The game will take you through a series of worm up flexibility routine, strength training, cardio, and other sports workout activity. The Game allows you to choose your duration of workouts and the days you wish to workout. It will keep track of your calendar and remind you of your workout days.

You can select your very own workout environment and background music, quite a few to choose form.

My Fitness Coach will plot your progress with impressive graphs and charts and recommend areas to work on to reach your goal. Completely customizable to meet your individual needs.

No Balance board is required for this game and I see why, you will be moving around a lot and the balance board would just get in the way.

Your workout can include Cardio, Upper and lower body training, Abs, Yoga and flexibility. I also like the fact that the game can include any small equipment you may already have such as a step platform, fitness ball, hand and ankle weight and a heart monitor. Finally start using those exercise equipment you have stored in the closet!

Maya your virtual coach, is a encouraging, reassuring trainer who adjust quickly to your needs.

She will from time to time ask you how you are feeling during workout routine. The choices are No Sweat, I Was Working Hard, and I Couldn't Keep Up. Based on the selection you make to her question she will adjust the workout program to match your response, this is so cool.

I have to give the Wii My Fitness Coach 4 out of 5 for workout and 4 out of 5 for fun, a total of 8 out of 10.

1) The Wii EA Sports Active

My tops pick! It seems like every time Nintendo Wii Fitness comes out with a new game its better that the one before. Just released March 2009, this game is hot!

The EA Sports Active was created based on the training techniques of personal fitness trainer and expert Bob Green, personal trainer to the stars.

This Game delivers a combination of intense workout routines, power pack cardio, strength training, all combined together into a ever changing, extended circuit workout routine.

Specifically designed with women in mind (but I use it all the time) in order to work those common problem areas like buns, abs, inner and outer thighs, waistline, and arms.

This game will teach you about nutrition, lifestyle, and physical activity. This is the complete package here.

With the use of the Wii Remote and the Nunchuck controllers the workouts will move seamlessly from one activity to the next, all the while monitoring your progress and movements. The Sports Active also uses a unique Upper thigh pocket attachment to place the Nunchuck controller into; this will monitor your lower body movement like never before. You will receive real-time feedback from your on screen personal trainer.

Included with the EA Sports Active game is the resistance stretch band, designed to increase the intensity of strength training workout such as shoulder presses, bicep curls and lifts. The Wii Balance board is not included but the board is compatible with many EA SPORTS Active workouts.

Take the 30 Day Challenge with personalized 20 minute workouts routines based on your fitness level. The Circuits will change as you progress through your workout day.

The EA SPORTS Active will also track your calories and progress throughout your 30 Day Challenge.

The EA Sports Active gets 5 out of 5 for workout and 4 out of 5 for fun, a total of 9 out of 10, making it my top pick.

Stay Fit and healthy,

Wii Remote Charge Stations Review

If you play on your Wii a lot, one Wii accessory that you will definitely want to consider buying is a Wii remote charge station. It can be a real pain to replace the AA batteries all the time. If you get a charge station, you can place your remote controllers in the docking station when you are not using them, and the batteries will recharge. Some will even charge while the remotes are in use.

There are several on the market to choose from. The best one for your needs will depend on the number of controllers you have as well as the features you would like to have. At minimum you will want to choose a dock station that has a vertical stand for the Wii's console and holds at least two Wii Nunchucks or remotes. There are also stations that hold four.

Some Wii charge stations also provide extra rechargeable battery packs to go with your remotes. That way you will always have a remote to play with. You may also want to look into a Wii charging station that can recharge the Wii remote's battery without the remote control being attached. The ability to recharge the battery without having to attach the remote means you won't have to worry about the batteries dying on your remotes.

The Wii Charge and Dock Station is a vertical stand with 4 slots for either 4 Wii remotes or 2 Nunchuks and 2 remotes, or 1 Nunchuck and 3 remotes. It comes with two rechargeable battery packs for the Wii remote controllers and a 3 slot colored LED indicator that will alert you when your batteries are fully charged

The Wii Dual Charge Station will charge 2 Nunchucks or 2 Wii remotes as well as the Wii console itself simultaneously. The blue glow is a cool effect on the bottom of the dock. The Dual Charge Station comes with 2 rechargeable battery packs.

The Wii Dual Charge Station and Dual Cooler hold two Wii remotes and the Wii console. Your remotes are recharged and your console cooled down while you are playing. It comes with two rechargeable battery packs. It has a red LED light that lets off a red glow while it is charging and changes to blue once the remotes have finished charging.

The Wii Quad can charge 4 Wii remotes simultaneously. The LED charge indicator alerts you when the remotes are fully charged. It comes with a pass-through cable that enhances the charging. The Quad Dock also comes with 4 rechargeable battery packs.

If you want to get Wii Remotes, then head on over to our website. I have tons of accessories, as well as additional Wii Remotes and Wii Nunchuks so that all of your friends can enjoy the crazy Wii games that allow 4 people to play.

Nintendo Wii - The Full Review For New Buyers - More Than a Funny Name!

You've probably heard a lot of talk about the Nintendo Wii... perhaps even had a couple of turns at other people's houses. If you're a new buyer, though, you'll want to know a fair bit more about this very innovative gaming console. Today we go through the full review of the Wii gaming platform, including benefits, drawbacks, essential extras and recommended games, for those considering buying one.

Wii: What makes it different?
If you've never played one before, the way people rave about the Wii probably takes you aback a little. It's just a game console, after all...

The main point of difference with the Wii is its motion-sensing remote control technology. Where other game consoles have been getting better graphics, additional features and more involved games for some time, the Wii has pared back its game details and gone for an entirely different angle. Here's why the Wii is different:
? You'll often stand up to play the Wii
? The accelerometer radically changes the way you interact with games. Forward, backward, side to side motions, tilts and rotations of the controller are all sensed and interpreted by a Wii console.
? You'll need to use a wrist strap with the controller to keep your windows, and television screen, safe
? You need a larger area to play the Wii in - having enough space to sit on the couch doesn't equate to Wii playability!

Nintendo Wii: The Good
Aside from the awesome new style of game control that the Wii offers, it has several other benefits:
? Intuitive interface
? The Wiimote is simple to use
? The console itself is very cheap
? Has the potential to reduce your waistline

Nintendo Wii: The Bad
However, the new design does bring up some other issues:
? For some games you'll have to buy an extra non-standard controller (adding to the cost a little)
? Connects via composite cables - if you want to connect via HDMI you'll have to supply your own cables
? The sensors on the remotes can be a little difficult to use sometimes. However, the Motionplus attachment does improve this.

Nintendo Wii: The Ugly
There are some very annoying things about the Wii... but all can be overcome.
? You must use a wrist strap with the controller - you'll be flinging it around with a lot of force, and you don't want to add hospital bills or television replacement to the cost of your Wii console! You will get used to the wrist strap, though.
? The nunchuck cable connection will swing around and whack you in some games. Grab a third-party wireless nunchuck to overcome this problem.

Nintendo Wii: The Extras and Accessories
The Wii comes with some very cool extras and accessories that, although they do add to your hardware outlay, also add immeasurably to your experience when playing certain games.

Some optional extras verge on 'necessary' status because they make the entire console more pleasant to own. Things like spare controllers so you can play with a friend, battery chargers, etc aren't optional for many people... they're mandatory to actually enjoy the Wii.

Some games will state that an extra controller is 'required', some will simply be 'compatible' with an optional controller like a wheel or a gun. Extra controllers and accessories start from around $15, and can cost up to $80.

Nintendo Wii Fit Bundle - A First Impression Review

Well, I've finally decided to get it. A few days ago, I finally made the difficult decision of purchasing the Nintendo Wii Fit Bundle. Alright I admit it, it's not really that difficult because I got it at a real bargain. When I received the package in the mail, I couldn't contain my excitement. After all, the Nintendo Wii Fit is the latest innovative games and workout machine out in the market today!

What's In The Nintendo Wii Fit Bundle?

As I unpack my Nintendo Wii Fit package anxiously, I notice that there are quite a number of items included. There's the Nintendo Wii game console (which I've also bought in addition to the bundle), the Wii Fit Balance Board and a peripheral of accessories such as the console stand, remote for the games console, nunchuck, AV adapter & cables. Included with the balance board is a disc of software which contains activities or exercises such as the yoga, body balance, muscle building and aerobic exercises and routines. My Wii game console also came with 5 Wii Sports games for Tennis, Bowling, Baseball, Golf and Boxing.

Now, you'll need the Wii game console before you can make use of Wii Fit system. When I was first planning my purchase, I noticed that there were many packages selling at rock bottom prices all over the web. But beware, most of them don't include the Wii game console! You're just paying for the bundle. In the end, you may end up paying more if you buy them separately. If you don't have the Wii game console, the more economic choice will be the Wii Fit full system as retailers tend to package the bundle with it at a more attractive price.

My Workout Experience On the Nintendo Wii Fit

After I setup the Wii Fit system, I started working out on it with a heart rate monitor strapped on my wrist. It took a while for me to get used to the menu navigation though frankly, they're pretty user friendly. It may take some time off the workout time but I'm sure that can be minimize once I get more familiar with the system.

What I've noticed was, some of the activities didn't gave me as good a workout as I expected. The soccer heading game was a disappointment and didn't even raise my heart rate above the minimum. And when I compared my statistics across activities such as the Yoga, Strength Training, Aerobic and Balance, the aerobic section stood out.

My favourite by far was the Hula Hoop game. As I tried to balance myself, keeping all the hoops in the air while catching some more, my heart beat was raised to 172bpm. Not only was it a good workout, it was pretty fun and enjoyable.

Perhaps you may be asking "So, do you think the Nintendo Wii Fit is a good way to lose weight?". Personally I don't think the Wii Fit can really help to lose much weight given the nature of the activities involved. Maybe a pound or two a week. But I'm sure they'll be quite effective in another department of your life.

Lifestyle and fun.
