With Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip & the Wii Fit Balance Board You Have a Dynamite Game

Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip and the Wii Fit balance board make an incredible combination, and truly makes this game fun and exciting. The use of the Wii Fit balance adds another dimension to this game as you shift your weight back and forth and from left to right on the board, you can almost imagine yourself going down a groomed trail on a snowboard. It always amazes me that gamers can sit on their couches and twiddle their thumbs on their controllers as they play the games on the XBox and PS2 and PS3. . This game did not get the most favorable reviews on these systems. Gamespot gave it a 5.0 on the PS3. They gave Shaun White Snowboard Road Trip a 5.0 on the XBox. Gamespot gave the Wii version a 7.5.

The Nintendo Wii has come along way in the two years since it's release in 2006. I remember sitting with family members and friends complaining about the lack of games that were available for the Wii when it first came out. There are many new and exciting games being released on a regular basis by third party developers, that is absolutely mind boggling. Some are trash. There are average games. Then there are games that rise above the cream, and Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip is one of those games.

Nintendo released one of the most successful games in May of 2008 - Wii Fit, (there are still shortages of this game). This game utilized one of the most sensitive, intuitive game controllers - the Wii Fit Balance Board available for the Nintendo Wii. The first game, other than Wii Fit, that used the Balance Board was Wii Ski. a fun game to play on the balance board. It is truly enjoyable but it is a little limited, as you can only shift your weight from left to right.

At this point in time Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip is the only game, other than Wii Fit, that has fully utilized the Wii Fit balance board. There are four sensitive quadrants that are used to shift your weight on the balance board as you snowboard. Giving you a feeling that you are going down the scenic trails shifting you weight from left or right or forward or even backwards.

You can shift your weight on the balance board and use the remote to do snowboarding tricks. This game is one of the most interactive games that any company has put out for the Nintendo Wii. While you are playing this game you will not notice the parts of your body being worked, but in the morning you will notice tightness in your thighs and abdominal muscles.

At the beginning of the game you will pick your snowboarder and your camera-person and start on your snowboarding expedition in beautiful mountain resorts in Canada. You can work your way through Alaska, Europe and Japan.

The graphics for this game are not that bad, but the Wii does not compare to the Xbox or PS3 for graphics. The Nintendo Wii excels in player interaction, therefore the Wii gamer is more forgiving when it comes to lower quality graphics.

So, rise above the usual couch potato gamer mentality, and get involved in your snowboarding with Nintendo Wii Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip. Apparently, Shaun White is working with UBI Soft to put out Shaun White Snowboarding Road Trip 2. I can not wait!
