Black Nintendo Wii Release Confirmed

As of November 2007 the Nintendo Wii has become the number one family console that has sold more copies than any of the other Next Generation systems (Xbox 360 and PS3). The reason behind the Wii's success can be debated, but it is indeed the most successful out of the three regardless of who you ask. In terms of sales, profits, and market the Wii has dominated its competitors

Sure there are many gamers that have chosen not to get a Nintendo Wii simply because it does not have high definition graphics, or hardcore games. That's their decision, and people have a right to that choice. Hands down the Wii is considered the "Fun" Console; it gave birth to a new way to play games with its motion controllers, that's what it was created for. Project Revolution (Codename for the Wii) was intended to bring about change. This console appeals to everyone, and there are some great games for hardcore gamers, such as Resident Evil 4, Super Mario Galaxy, Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, and of course Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

Back to the main point of this article, Nintendo has confirmed that it has developed a Black Nintendo Wii, and will be releasing it in Japan this summer. That being the case there will be a Black Wii on US store shelves around the same time if not a little later. For years now customers have wanted a different color Wii, and now we may be getting a taste of the some multicolored Wii eye candy. (At last)

Along with the Black Wii there will be new Black Wii Remotes, Classic Controllers, and Numchuck's to match the set. The Black Wii [http://www.wiiwordgossip.com/capcom-bundling-monster-hunter-3-with-black-wii-in-japan/] is rumored to be bundled with a Game other than Wii Sports. The Black Wii is nothing more than the regular Wii with a black shell. But you have to admit, based on the screenshots and images available it looks pretty neat. The Black Wii looks a lot sleeker compared to the original Wii. It's amazing what a simple color change can do for a game console.

As the original Wii prospective Japanese owners will have the option of buying it in a bundle with what will undoubtedly be 2009's biggest game for that region: Capcom's Monster Hunter 3 (Tri). The Monster Gunter 3 Black Wii bundle will be released on August 1, concurrent with the standalone version of the game, and will include the game, a black Wii system, and a black Classic Controller Pro for $342.
